Jacquesson’s NV Cuvée No. 735 Dégorgement Tardif, based on the 2007 vintage, is a pretty wine that is already showing some early signs of maturity, especially in its aromatics. Orange peel, hazelnut, spice and coffee are some of the signatures. The 735 is done in a soft yet more slender style than is often found these days at Jacquesson, and yet all the elements are nicely balanced. I would prefer to drink it sooner rather than later, as the upside seems limited at this point. 735 is an excellent choice for readers who enjoy Champagnes with a little bit of bottle age and the flavor complexity that develops over time. Disgorged November, 2015. Dosage 3.5 gr/l.
